In this industry, pricing usually reads "on request". We find that unhelpful, you should be able to judge whether virtual production fits your budget before you pick up the phone. So here are our day rates, what they include, and what they don't.
All prices net, excluding VAT · Bookable from half days · Agency rates for framework bookings on request.
| LED wall | 35 m² high-resolution LED surface, calibrated |
| Camera tracking | Perspective-correct backdrops for genuine in-camera VFX |
| Real-time engine | Unreal Engine workstation; bring your own content as a file |
| Set library | Access to our growing selection of ready-made environments |
| Lighting & audio | Professional lighting setup and audio equipment on stage |
| Facilities | Make-up area, green room, parking at the door, ground-level load-in |
| Tech briefing | Free 15-minute briefing before you book, environments, camera, workflow |
You always book the full 35 m², no "up to", no budget-trimmed partial area. The only thing that changes the price is how much crew and preparation you add.
A day rate that covered everything would be either unrealistically high or quietly incomplete. So we quote these items per project:
Your quote lists each of these separately, so you can see what you are paying for, and cut what you don't need.
Not looking for a studio day at all, but for the finished film? Concept, script, shoot and edit are handled by CreativeCinema, our sister brand in the same building. The stage is then part of the production rather than a separate booking.
The biggest lever on price is not the technology, it is the crew. Bring your own camera and lighting and you book a dry hire; bring only the idea and you book full service. A half day often covers an interview or shoot, several environments calculate more calmly as a full day.
Starting from the set library costs no preparation time. A purpose-built brand world is a one-off investment that pays back from the second production onwards.
At the Erlangen stage your team travels; with the mobile setup the wall travels. Past a certain crew size, the maths tips towards mobile.
A stage day is hard to judge in isolation. It gets interesting against what it replaces: travel, hotel nights, location fees, permits, company moves and the quiet contingency for weather. On an LED wall those line items either disappear or occur once instead of five times.
Run it with your own numbers: the shoot-day calculator sets shoot days, number of environments, crew travel and weather dependency side by side, with every assumption disclosed. For how the saving breaks down, see 5 locations in one shoot day.
And when the maths goes against us, we say so: for a single, real, local location you will shoot cheaper on site. For the choice between our fixed stage and the mobile setup, see mobile LED wall vs. fixed studio.
Your project, preferred dates and whether you need crew, by form or phone.
Free and without obligation: we clarify environments, camera and workflow, the basis for a quote that holds.
Every position itemised. No additions you haven't seen beforehand.
Tell us briefly what you have in mind, we'll say openly which model fits and send the fixed-price quote within 24 hours. Stage in Erlangen near Nuremberg, mobile anywhere in Germany, produced in English.
Dry hire starts at €1,450 per half day; the stage with our LED/tracking operator starts at €2,500 per day. Full-service productions are quoted individually and you receive the quote within 24 hours. All prices exclude VAT.
Because "price on request" helps nobody. You should be able to judge whether virtual production fits your budget before the first call, and we would rather hear from projects we genuinely suit.
The mobile day rate starts at €4,500 plus travel. We bring the full 35 m² LED wall to your location anywhere in Germany; the on-site build takes around 3 days. A firm quote including logistics follows within 24 hours.
Environments from our set library come with no additional preparation cost. A custom-built environment, your production hall or brand world as an Unreal Engine set, is quoted separately as a one-off. The upside: every later production starts straight away in the finished set.
Yes. We run productions in English end to end, briefing, on set and in post, which matters when your stakeholders join remotely or fly in for the shoot day.
Within 24 hours. Before that we run a free 15-minute tech briefing covering environments, camera and workflow, so the quote rests on realistic assumptions.
Yes. We agree separate terms for framework bookings and agency partnerships, just ask.
Not always, and we will say so. For a single, real, locally available location you will usually shoot cheaper on site. Once several locations, travel costs or weather risk enter the picture, the maths turns. Our shoot-day calculator lets you compare both routes with your own numbers.
